Very happy with this product!
I am thrilled to have found this product. The price is great and the quality seems to be first rate. Taste is good and seems to be better than the other beet powder products I have tried. Much better than the SuperBeets product that I thought was the best before. Piping Rock's is much better and 1 lbs cost about half of what 1/3 lbs of the other product cost. You can't beat that! Looking forward to getting some more soon. It is a bit lumpy, but a quick run in a chopper gets it nice and powdery. For the price, I don't mind that little bit of extra effort on my part.I am thrilled to have found this product. The price is great and the quality seems to be first rate. The Beet Root powder is absolutely delicious!
I've always known the health benefit of beets, but the canned ones aren't tasty and the fresh ones are difficult to work with, so I was very happy to to learn of beet root powder. I'm not exactly enamored with the taste of beets in general, but this is delicious..we make a beet root smoothie with it every morning I will leave details at the end of review. My only warning about this product is don't tell your friends and family, everybody wanted some after trying it and now I'm down to a fraction of my order! Here's our beet root smoothie recipe. 1 banana 1 apple Strong handful of spinach leaves Heaped tablespoon beet root powder (I often use a little more) Orange juice as liquid base Blend and enjoy! Note- I peel, quarter and freeze my bananas, I also buy a bag of spinach leaves and just pop it in the freezer, I just grabbed a handful from there as needed...this way there is no spoilage or waste of time-sensitive ingredients whatsoever. High quality. No added ingredients
I’ve been using this daily for about two weeks. The power does tend to get a little clumpy but is easily broken up. I just put a small amount into a water bottle and take it to the gym with me. Everyone will not get the same results.
Since we're all different, we'll all get a variety of benefits from beet root. Thankfully, mine exceeded my expectations. I have measured the benefits between 1 teaspoon and 1 tablespoon. Both achieved identical results, so I take the lessor. To reduce clumping, gently use a rolling pin over the foil bag. Great powder for seitan!
I bought this a few months ago and started using it in place of fresh beets to add in seitan steaks/roast and most importantly in vegan seitan based bakun/bacon, pepperoni and soppressata. I am just thrilled! It is just soooo convenient and adds the color and flavor needed without the mess of fresh beets (and I don't have to use space in my freezer for slices of cooked beets anymore). So glad I found this and real happy with the price, even when I get it shipped to Norway!
